I'm taking it one day at a time.
Yesterday I watched the first 15 minutes of Food, Inc. but couldn't watch anymore than that. Yes, yes, I know it has the reputation of being a hippy propagandistic, pro-vegetarian documentary, but I really didn't have time to get sucked in. I just got so angry/sad I had to turn it off. Who decided that it's okay to have thousands of chickens squished into coops that never see the light of day? I understand that animals are not like people. Believe me, I know. But they are still God's creation. And we're called to be good stewards of what we're given here on earth. Right?
"Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel."
Proverbs 12:10
So unless that chicken or beef is free-range, I'm not such a big fan. And because I'm a poor college student without an income (or a kitchen, for that matter), I probably have to eat like a vegetarian. And I don't know how long it will last. I have no expectations or goals. But I'm currently pissed off at the chicken and beef people.
That is all.
