Anyways, one of things I've been learning about these last few weeks is the true meaning of my walk with Jesus. It's so easy to equate my relationship with the Lord with what I'm doing (Aa;dslkfjdsfl, stay away you dirty legalism leech! ). That's why legalism is so stinkin' ironic. It has NOTHING to do with me. This life-- this life that God has given to me-- is about knowing the Lord more deeply.
Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
John 15:4
That's it. My relationship with the Lord is between me and Him. Now, go! Abide away!
On a completely unrelated note, I discovered a few things this last week, of which I will put in list format in order to prevent potential rambling, all the while purposefully omitting my reasoning behind these discoveries to let your imagination do the work.
1) Dementors are to Harry Potter as art museums are to me. (just let that irony soak in...)
2) The taste of fried foods do not justify the feelings of sickness they induce.
3) Peet's Coffee never gets old.
4) Little kids are stupid cute. (Why yes, yes that is my niece Bella. Wearing my LC-esque sunglasses. See the resemblance?)
Art museums, what?? You need a class in art history, my dear. Or you need to hang out with an art major back in SoCal in Sept. But, maybe if you were to visit one when you are not so tired...that might help! Love the sunglasses BTW! And you!
