I will seek you in the morning

"The vision?
The vision is JESUS-- obsessively, dangerously, undeniably Jesus.
The vision is an army of young people. You see bones? I see an army.
And they are FREE from materialism.....
They are mobile like the wind, they belong to the nations. They need no passport. People write their addresses in pencil and wonder at their strange existence.
They are free yet they are slaves of the hurting and dirty and dying."
- Red Moon Rising, pg. 119

Inspiring, much? Sometimes I think it'd be sweet just to pack up and go on a giant escapade around the world to tell people about Jesus. But God, in his humor, has me here.

This week I made two new friends from my classes... Which is a big deal for me. It actually is a huge answer to prayer since lately I've felt a wee-bit too comfortable in the Cru community. I love spending time in fellowship, but that's all kind of worthless if we're not out there furthering His kingdom. At least, en mi opinión.

I decided: school is hard. It's hard to figure out how to glorify God through your school work. It's hard admitting that you can't do it all on your own and you need God to take over, even though it seems like kids who don't know Jesus have their academic life all figured out.

But He is good. Sovereign. So much more worthy than anyone or anything else.

"O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city-- the city that bears your name-- lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy." Daniel 9:18

He is merciful. Attentive. Awe-inspiring. And He's my God.
