I will live my life as a lobsterman's wife

Highlights from the first day of class:
  • "I try to make [math] joy, but I know my limits." Professor Bognar
  • Seeing Kerckhoff, once again, crawling with Cru peeps.
  • Painting nails/chatting with my dear friend, Eugenia. We both hate red roses and will be sure to tell the other's future boyfriend that very thing before he buys flowers.
  • The Office viewing party/spontaneous worship sesh at 403 Landfair.
Okay so I know only one of those things is from the actual school part of my day, but can you blame me? The world of academia is overwhelming, especially when you've been out of it for over 3 months. On the bright side, I get to read the Bible for my Jerusalem writing class this quarter! I think I can handle that. Talking about Jesus and getting credit for it? Sweeet.

And I've been thinking.... How important is it to find a major that makes me 100% happy? I mean, let's be honest, that major doesn't exist. Not that I should stick with something that I hate, but economics isn't terrible. I mean it isn't fantastic either. Clearly I'm still on the fence about my major. According to my accounting prof, though, if I don't make up my mind yesterday (yes, yesterday-- I'm already behind), I will never have a chance of being happy and/or employed. Thank the Lord I don't find my worth in the world and their opinion of success and happiness. Whew.

But it's still a tad unnerving.

TGIF tomorrow! I'm beginning my quest for the best pho and espresso in LA with one of my favorite people ever, Sarah. I will also be attending my first spanish class since June. Eeeesh. Hopefully I don't sound like a completely illiterate, Spanish-retarded dweeb. Worse things have happened, I suppose :)

What danger girls will put themselves through for cute room decorations. Yes, that's an open window. Love you roomies!
